Be Kind And Humble. The World Needs It.

I came across a video on my Instagram explore page. In the video, a guy would ask favors to strangers, and when they helped him, he would award them $500 (or more) for being kind.

The video was by Zachery Dereniowski (@mdmotivator). He asks people for small favors like a free water bottle, $2 for the bus ride, etc.

He faces many rejections from people. But eventually, he finds someone willing to accept his request. Even homeless people are kind enough to help him in need. Finally, he rewards these people by giving them money — saying that he was just experimenting to see if they would help him.

I don’t know if his videos are real because I know many fake videos do these things. They film it just for the sake of creating content.

But, to me, Zachery’s videos seem genuine.

Anyways, his videos made me realize a few things. Firstly, the world needs more kind people. We ought to help each other (especially in need). For instance, if someone is thirsty, be kind enough to buy them a water bottle.

Secondly, those who don’t have much to offer are more kind and helpful. Maybe it’s because they know how it feels like to have less and feel helpless.

Lastly, give more. Giving is receiving. I know it sounds cliché, but you indeed receive when you give — you receive self-satisfaction, blessings, and gratefulness.

The world needs more kindness.

We have become self-centered. We want good things for ourselves and don’t care for others.

It’s good to care for yourself before others. It’s like when the flight assistant tells you to put on your oxygen mask first before you help others.

But we must be kind and helpful to one another. The world needs it.

Everybody wants to be happy.

Happiness is the most powerful thing in the world. Everybody wants it.

It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, black or white, smart or dumb; you want to be happy.

Happiness means different things to people. For someone who has less, $100 could bring a lot of happiness to him. But for someone making $50,000 a year, $100 would not make much difference in his life.

It’s not just about money. Even small things can make people happy. For instance, you might have seen videos where people offer flowers to strangers. Do you see how their faces light up with joy? That is also happiness. Even though it might not last long or make a significant difference in people’s lives, it is still wonderful to see them smile.

Even animals want to be happy. They want to live in a peaceful environment with their families.

You can make a difference.

You don’t have to give away money or flowers to make the world better.

Spreading kindness starts with an individual. It’s you and me who can make a difference. If everyone participates in the act of kindness, the world can be a better place.

You can do two things right now to make a difference.

  1. Change your beliefs and act accordingly.
  2. Teach others to do the same.

You have to believe that the world can be a kind and happy place. For that, you must start acting like it. Help people around you. Be kind and spread happiness. That is how you make a difference.

Teach others the same — especially children. If we teach the future generation about it, I bet the world can be better. Remember that children learn by observing things around them. So, when they see us acting kind and spreading joy, they will learn to do the same.

Final thoughts

When I see hate and negativity around me, I wonder why people are like that. I wish everyone were kind and helpful to one another.

I know that every individual thinks differently and wants different things. But as I said, we all want to be happy.

So, why cheat others, make them feel bad, or cause harm. Instead, why not help others, be kind to them, and spread love.

Change starts with an individual. You cannot expect others around you to be better. That will only make you feel miserable.

You cannot control the behavior of others, but you can control yours.

So, do it. Focus on what you can control.

Be kind. Spread the love.

The world needs it.
